Reminders:
·
I would like to formally invite all parents and/or
guardians to a Family Pie afternoon! As
the Thanksgiving holiday approaches I would like to spend some time with one
another as we celebrate this great classroom community. I will be providing pies for us all. Please R.S.V.P. using the following link so I
can purchase as many pies as possible.
There are a few other items I will be looking for, if you can sign up to
bring something please do! Also, I would like the room to be as comfortable as
possible and would like to provide enough for everyone to eat so I ask that
siblings do not join. Thanks!
·
No Homework!
·
November’s Core Value will be CARING. We have been working hard while showing
empathy, compassion and being overall good people. I am looking for caring actions that take the
feelings and concerns of others in mind.

THANK YOU parents who took the time to attend our Parent
University night! I believe it was beneficial to talk about how your child is
doing in the areas of reading and math.
There was also data available to show you where exactly your child falls
in those categories in comparison to the class.
If you missed Parent University I will be sending home the folders made
on Monday. There are 3 graphs in the folder:
o
Oral Reading Fluency Graph- Explaining how many words in
one minute your child read with ease.
o
High Frequency Word Graph- How many words your child knows
out of the first 100. They are expected to know the first 100 by the end of the
year.
o
Math Computation Graph- How well your child can complete
addition and subtraction sentences in 8 minutes.
To check your child’s score, look
inside the folder for a number, that is the number that is assigned to your
child and their progress on all 3 graphs.
Any questions,
feel free to pop in before or after school!
