·
Quite a bit early this week, again I will be
gone Thursday and Friday, but still wanted to keep in touch about a few
details.
·
Mrs. Fendley will be here Thursday and Friday.
She is WONDERFUL and came in to meet the kids today, they can expect a familiar
face.
·
We will be collecting items for the Annual Clothing
Exchange. This is a great event for us all to come together and rid of the old
while embracing the new. Donations will be collected starting in October. A
flyer with additional information will be sent home on Monday.
·
Jog-A-Thon kick off assembly will take place
this Friday! Expect your child to bring home their informational packets. I
highly encourage all room 8 kids to get out at get collecting! The annual
Mustang Gallop helps fund MANY extra activities and tools we use to make
Marshall great. I would like every child to receive at least 1 donation, if we
all try to collect, I know that together we can raise some serious dough.
·
Mustang Gallop theme this year will be…. THE
OLYMPICS! Room 8 will represent the ancient Greeks as we represent Greece! I
would like to show our MUSTANG SPIRIT AND GREECE while wearing a Mustang
t-shirt. We have the perfect Mustang
Blue to match the Greek flag. If you have not purchased one, please do so from
the spirit shop.
·
The Jog-A-Thon day will not only consist of a
morning of running but a day of anything and everything Greek. I would like to
focus on the history of the Olympics, provide some Greek food, and create an
ancient craft. There will be a sign up genius URL link in next week’s blog,
your donations and help are extremely helpful!
·
More information about the Gallop to follow next
week, I can’t wait to raise money, run, and celebrate our community with the
kids. It’ll be a great day!
·
Parent teacher conferences will take place
October 10-12th, I will be creating a sign up genius URL to sign up
for a time that best fits your schedule. URL to be in next week’s bog.
·
The weather is cooling off, sweat shirts, closed
toe shoes, and pants would be helpful as the seasons change!
·
The students have made so much improvement when
showing effort in everything and anything they do during the school day. I look
forward to awarding 1 student next month with the Effort Core Value award, I
will be awarding it to someone who has continually and consistently applied
their best energy into their studies.
