Reminders:
o
Throw kindness like confetti! Next week we will be celebrating one of our favorite
weeks of the year, Random Acts of
Kindness Week! See below the list of
spirit days but keep in mind that the week goes beyond that. We encourage all students to incorporate random
acts of kindness with the spirit days. For example, on Hawaiian day we will be
having our students say “Aloha” to someone new.
You never know how far an acknowledgement or “hello” will travel.

Acts of Kindness Week Spirit Themes:

The students are earning Class Dojo points for a craft party as
we will be doing “melty beads” as the kids call it. I look forward to the party
after our hard work!
o
On February 14th we will be reflecting on the love
and friendship between us all in our reading and writing. The day will end with
a celebration and exchange of Valentines. What fun!
o
February is our month to show INTEGRITY! This valued moral
assists with academic achievement but I believe goes well beyond that. Students will intrinsically feel the rewards
of doing what is right with honest intent.
In the hallway, during testing, we conversing with friends as well as
after school when study work at home needs to be done. Please take a moment to talk about having
integrity with your child. I look
forward to seeing these actions take place here at school. If you have any stories of students showing
INTEGRITY at home share them with me on Class Dojo!
o
Our annual Marshall
Science Fair is in February. All
students 3-5 will have a project to display, every year we are blown away with
their discoveries. First grade will also
have a chance to get involved as we complete a class project. I am thinking we will be experimenting with
weather or rocks. Details to follow.
o
Snacks next week
