Next Week:
Language Arts
I am so impressed with the moral
connections we made while reading Aesop’s fables! This week we will be reading similar stories
from different places. We will read Tom Thumb, Thumbelina and Issun Boshi as we
focus in sequencing, vocabulary and compare/contrast standards. Be sure to as
your child about our readings, they sure are fun!
Math
We will continue to work with
part-part-whole number combinations. Please review your child’s HW nightly.
Science
THE INQUIRY PROCESS…. HOW
EXCITING! Ms. Shaw will be introducing them to the inquiry process and starting
her unit on plants.
Social Studies
I am looking forward into
jumping into our first unit, ancient Mesopotamia. We will be learning about the
elements of creating a civilization and the important contributions from ancient
times.
It will be a GREAT week! Thanks for reading :]
