Next Week:
Literature.
We will start our literature study on Tuesday as we read a classical favorite, Charlotte’s Web! What a hit! We have LOVED reading about baby Wilbur and Fern.  Next week we will read chapters 18-22 while focusing on vocabulary, summarizing, and sequencing.  Ask your child about our story.  I look forward to the closure of the book and movie.

Science
We will start are last scientific unit of study, the human body.  We will start with the skeletal system then continue the the muscular, cardiovascular, and digestive systems.

Social Studies
We have officially ended our studies on Westward Expansion and the kids LOVED it! I have just recently introduced them to our next unit, Ancient Greece. We will be learning about the geography of Greece, Greek Gods and Goddesses, ancient philosophers, and Alexander the Great. What fun!

Math
The students have shown much growth and have caught on quick to repeated addition. We will be making arrays and forming number bonds as we discover all the elements of multiplication before starting simple times sentences.
