Next Week:
Literature
I am looking forward to our read aloud and
discussion based learning next week. I will be reading various fairytales to
the class, one of them being Beauty and the Beast! After our stories we will be
completing activities involving idioms, morals, and key vocabulary for
comprehension.
Science
We will continue to read about the rainforest.
We have learned about the different layers and the plants and animals found
within each. The students will have a chance to research an animal of choice. I
cannot wait for them to find some fascinating facts about the special animals
found in this habitat.
Social Studies
Ms. Denny has an exciting and enriched
economics unit planned. She will
introduce the students to a classroom economy, which will take place over the
next few weeks. Along with the concepts
of the class economy students will be introduced to the key terms such as
budget, savings, supply, and demand. I am looking forward to the content and
hands on activities involved during our economics unit.
Math
Moving on from measurement and onto unit
counting and money!
