A DOLLAR A DAY HAT
WEEK! With the donation of a dollar a day your child may wear their favorite
hat to school. We are rallying together
to support Ms. Malinda as she starts her fight against breast cancer. I have organized
the fundraiser and would love to see our class show our support. Looking
forward to the week of support!

White will be working closely with our first graders as they practice for our
Frog and Toad Musical. We read the
series this year and look forward to bringing the stories to life! The Frog and
Toad Family presentation will be on Thursday, May 17th from

Next Week:
Language Arts
I am looking forward
to our next creative writing unit, poetry. The students will be introduced to
poetry elements and have a chance to write their own acrostic and cinquain. I
cannot wait to see their creative writing pieces.
Math
Our place value
and computation unit continues as we become more efficient and fluent with
addition and subtraction.
Social Studies
Our goods and
services unit was a great introduction to economics. We will start an exciting research project on
our very own Grand Canyon state. As a class we will read a fictional story and
find important information to refer back to when we start our reports.
Science
The students
will continue with the studies of air and its forces.
